'Tis the Season

Last year I decided I wanted to make and decorate a gingerbread house. Unfortunately I decided too late, and could not find any in stores, unless I wanted to pay $40 for a fancy one from Williams & Sonoma. This year, I got mine early, from Market Basket for $7.99. The house pieces, frosting/glue and candies were all in the kit, you just needed to assemble the house and decorate it! Things were not theat simple, I could not keep the roof together and ended up running out of the glue/frosting. I even tried to use crazy glue for the candy, but that didn't work well sticking to a cookie. At least my cats were entertained with fallen candies...

  1. super cute!! growing up i always thought it was so silly when people would decorate gingerbread houses or paint eggs for easter BUT i'm totally down to do those things now!! it's such a fun way to get people together over a creative activity. fun times :)
